WOW 1 year...

(Note: the date says Novemeber 2008 - but it's December 14th, 2009... wierd!)


Hello again - it's been awhile. Time seems to be flying by these days!

Let's see here... It's been over a year since I last blogged. WOW.

So, the past year has been incredibly busy. I usually can't stand when people say how busy they are, but sometimes, there's no other way to describe it - you're just 'busy.'

Where do I start - well, since last time - I've been married, honeymooned, bought a house (have done some major remodeling to it as well), bought a dog... and also have gotten back together with my old barbershop quartet. I can't believe I've been living in Bismarck for over 1 1/2 years already and have been married for almost an entire year!

Married life and living in Bismarck is kind of starting to feel "normal." It's a different "normal" - if that makes sense. Being a single man and living in Fargo for over 3 years - basically building a life there (friends, family, church...) and then changing directions, starting a new path - physically / mentally / emotionally leaving that part of my life behind. It's a lot different than I thought it was going to be. Even though I'm not "new" to Bismarck, I've spent over 3/4 of my life here, I still feel new. Even though I've been married for awhile now, married life still feels very new (I know, I know - some of you out there are thinking to yourself - Sam, you have MUCH to learn about married life - or - Sam you are such a newbie it's not even funny). Trust me - I realize that :). I have MUCH to learn about everything. My 'arrival' is far, far, FAR from where I'm at right now - not even in site - not even in this life. (Philipians 1:6)

Anyways, I think I'll leave this blog at that. I hope to share new things I'm learning and hope to receive critiques and wisdom from you all.
